5.8.5. Replacement of epiploons of a bent shaft
At detection of traces of dribble of oil through epiploons of a bent shaft at first check whether the system of ventilation of a case is littered and whether hoses of system of ventilation of a case are pressed, with malfunctions eliminate them. If the leak of oil does not stop, replace epiploons.
Sign of need of replacement of a forward epiploon of a bent shaft is the oil leak through its edge. At the same time oil is sprayed by the rotating pulley of a bent shaft owing to what greasy are all forward part of the engine and a belt of the drive of the gas-distributing mechanism.
It will be required to you: all tools necessary for removal of the drive of the gas-distributing mechanism (see. "Replacement of a belt of the drive of the gas-distributing mechanism and its tension roller"), screw-driver, hammer.
For replacement of a forward epiploon of a bent shaft execute the following.
1. Disconnect a wire from the minus plug of the rechargeable battery.
2. Install the piston of the 1st cylinder in the provision of VMT of a step of compression (see. "Installation of the piston of the first cylinder in the provision of VMT of a step of compression").
3. Take off a belt of the drive of the gas-distributing mechanism (see. "Replacement of a belt of the drive of the gas-distributing mechanism and its tension roller").
6. Having hooked the screw-driver, take an epiploon from a nest of the oil pump.
7. Before installation of a new epiploon examine its working edge. It has to be equal, without vyryv, dents and flows of rubber. The spring of an epiploon has to be whole and unextended. Oil a working edge engine.
8. Establish an epiploon in a nest, accurately fill a working edge on a bent shaft (for example, by means of a wooden stick) and press against the stop by means of a suitable mandrel.
9. Establish all removed details and knots as it should be, the return to removal.
10. Adjust a tension of belts of the drive of the generator and compressor of the conditioner (see. "Check of a tension of a belt of the drive of the generator and compressor of the conditioner"), and also the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering (see. "Check and adjustment of a tension of a belt of the drive of the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering").
Can be the reason of oiling of clutch plates to flow an epiploon of a main shaft of the transmission or a back epiploon of a bent shaft.
Motor and transmission oils have a different smell therefore at a certain skill it is possible to determine by a smell, defective, what of epiploons.

Good advice
There is one more way of definition like oil. Drip oil in the water poured in a vessel by a thin layer (it is possible in a pool). Gearbox oil will spread on all water surface in the form of an iridescent film, and motor will remain in the form of the drop similar to lentil grain.

For replacement of a back epiploon execute the following.
1. Remove the transmission (see. "Removal and installation of the transmission").
2. Remove coupling (see. "Removal and installation of coupling").
3. Remove a flywheel (see. "Removal, troubleshooting and installation of a flywheel").
4. Examine an epiploon: if he lost tightness, in its lower part will be visible began to flow oils.
5. Remove an oil case of the engine (see. "Replacement of consolidation of an oil case").

The original back epiploon of a bent shaft is replaced assembled with the holder.

8. Establish the removed knots as it should be, the return to removal.

The epiploon of stereotyped execution has no holder, and at certain skills the epiploon can be replaced, without removing it the holder from the car.

At installation of a flywheel grease a carving part of bolts of its fastening with an anaerobic clamp of a carving.
