The piston of the 1st cylinder is installed in situation TDP (top dead point) of a step of compression in order that at work, connected with removal of a belt of the drive of the camshaft, installation of phases of gas distribution was not broken. At violation of phases of gas distribution the engine will normally not work.

Expose VMT on a tag on a camshaft pulley (at installation on tags on a pulley of a bent shaft in this situation there can be a piston of the either the 1st, or 4th cylinder). After that be surely convinced of coincidence of tags on the cogged pulley of a bent shaft. If tags do not coincide, so installation of phases of gas distribution is broken (the piston of the 1st cylinder is not installed in VMT). In this case it is necessary to take off a belt of the drive of the camshaft and to turn a bent shaft before combination of tags.

Tags of VMT are applied on the cogged pulley of the camshaft and on a head of the block of cylinders.

Also tags are applied on the cogged pulley of a bent shaft and on a cover of the oil pump. These tags are visible only at the removed pulley of the drive of additional units.

1. Take off conditioner compressor drive belts (see. "Replacement of a belt of the drive of the generator and compressor of the conditioner") and the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering (see. "Replacement of a belt of the drive of the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering").

2. Record a bent shaft from a provorachivaniye. For this purpose install the gear shifting lever in the provision of the included transfer and ask the assistant to press a brake pedal.

3. Turn out a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a bent shaft...	4.... also remove a pulley.

5. Uncover a belt of the drive of the gas-distributing mechanism (see. "Replacement of a belt of the drive of the gas-distributing mechanism and its tension roller").

6. Wrap a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a bent shaft and turn for it a bent shaft before coincidence of tags on zubaty pulleys.

7. If tags do not coincide, adjust the provision of a belt on pulleys (see. "Replacement of a belt of the drive of the gas-distributing mechanism and its tension roller").

8. Establish all removed details as it should be, the return to removal.
