5.16.1. Features of a design

The fulfilled gases are removed from the engine through a final collector (fig. 5.15) and a reception pipe 7 (fig. 5.16), converter 3, additional 1 and the main 2 (fig. 5.17) mufflers.

On a reception pipe the sensor 6 (see fig. 5.16) is installed to concentration of oxygen.
The final collector is fixed by nuts on hairpins of a head of the block of cylinders. Between a head of the block of cylinders and a flange of a final collector two metalreinforced laying of 1 (fig. 5.18) are established.

The reception pipe is connected to flanges of a final collector and converter. Flange connections are condensed with the metalreinforced laying 2 and 5. Converter is connected to a reception pipe of the additional muffler by means of the pipe which is pressed out by two collars. The exhaust pipe of the additional muffler is inserted into a reception pipe of the main muffler, and the place of their connection is pressed out by a collar. Connections of mufflers with pipes non-demountable. Each of elements of system can be removed separately without dismantle of other elements.
For reduction of transfer of vibrations from the power unit on system of release and a body in a reception pipe the vibrocompensating corrugated bellow valve 9 in a metal braid is built in.
Elements of system are suspended to a body on six rubber pillows 10, and two pillows and suspension brackets of a reception pipe, two pillows suspension brackets of the main muffler and two pillows in back suspension brackets of the main muffler and a suspension bracket of the main and additional mufflers have the different form.
For protection of the engine, details of a motor compartment and the basis of a body steel thermoscreens over a final collector, thermoscreens 2 (see fig. 5.16) over converter and the additional muffler and 3 (see fig. 5.17) over the main muffler are installed.
The system of production of the fulfilled gases does not demand special service. Rather periodically to check reliability of an inhaling of threaded connections and an integrity of pillows of a suspension bracket. In case of damage of elements of system, through corrosion or a progar they are replaced assembled as mufflers together with pipes represent non-demountable knots.

Good advice
Periodically check system of production of the fulfilled gases. At the increased noise level from system of release check its tightness. For this purpose launch the engine and examine all system. Having run a hand over places of possible leak, not concerning knots, you feel leak of gases at once. If necessary replace the rusted and burned through knots.

Preventions
Before repair let's system of release cool down as in operating time of the engine it heats up to high temperature.
The fulfilled gases are poisonous, poisoning with them occurs imperceptibly therefore before launch of the engine in a garage surely open gate!
